What is this all about?

The Games, a notion of beautiful simplicity. 4 Athletes at the very height of their physical fitness and mental alertness compete in 6 disciplines to determine the Alpha Male. “The Games” is a solely owned subsidiary of Let’s Get Rat Arsed PLC – (LGRA) whose previous successes have included Pub Golf , Las Juegos de España 2004 and the 2 highly successful and world renowned “Winter” and “Summer” franchises. Formed in 1995 LGRA Plc. was the sleeping partner in the Hansard Pool Championship but announced itself on the world stage with Pub Golf 98 whose success spawned the sequel “Pub Golf 2″ , now officially regarded by most historians as the birthplace of “Captain Turbo”. LGRA PLC ™ further increased its dominance of the Manx sporting scene with the introduction of The Biff League ™ for the Winter Games 2008 as part of its official 10th Year Anniversary celebrations and successfully negotiated the induction of 4 sparkly new biffletes , two of whom stepped up in class to the A League and thus relegated the established competitors to virtual Games oblivion and some time licking windows with the Lemmo’s of this world.

The Franchises of Summer and Winter Games have been the flagship events that have carved places in history for each and every one of the 5 competitors. From the drop kicking of a dart board off a wall to the drowning of a gimp , from Blakey “having a word with himself” to someone’s inability to drink half a Guinness without a full chunder routine , from the public humiliation of a banning from the Superbowl to the dominance of one man and his dirty varicose veins…..the Games have had it all.

The A Team

Sadly with achievements that bring glory and a euphoric feeling of completeness come the obstreperous times of grief and loss. The death of Marcellus Wallace was a shock for all and still pulls at the public’s and athletes heartstrings to this day. The horrendous near drowning incident of one of our own also brings into close perspective the dangers and sacrifices the athletes must make in order to reach for greatness. Only the genuine commitment and effort of the athletes have allowed the Games to flourish in the aftermath of these disasters and continue to grow within the public’s hearts.

Looking to the future , LGRA ™ will strive to retain its unblemished reputation for world class events whilst introducing a more corporate image to enable the public perception to be one of a vibrant and dynamic young company with the ability to change with the times. Large capital investment in company assets , the 2 spectacular new trophies and an improved online presence show the board intend LGRA PLC to be here to stay for the next generation of athletes and beyond…….
